Youth Programme- weight training for beginners Part II


Children from Halswell Residential College. They are making great strides. The best part is that they are keen and fully engaged. The first step is a very basic programme designed to get their bodies used to weight training. They will progress to more advanced lifting depending on their age and progression. The most important thing is enjoyment.

Youth Programme- weight training for beginners


We are currently working with students from Halswell Residential College. They are learning the basic principles of weight training and some basic Olympic lifting and Powerlifting. Here is some footage of a youngster making great strides in some basic Olympic lifting techniques.

We are really enjoying working with these children. We will continue this programme for the rest of the year at least. We hope to expand these programmes over the next 6 months and cater for more and more children. Our objective is to provide opportunities for children who would otherwise not receive such opportunities. For me this is very rewarding.
