For the past few years I have been getting up at 5 am. I’m not too bad in the mornings. I wouldn’t say I’m a morning person but I manage to do it! Sometimes it is hard and most days I could stay in bed. However I take advantage of my circumstances which allow me to utilise the early hours of the days.
For me there are 2 big advantages with getting up at 5 am:
– I can train at the gym between 5.30 am and 7.00 am. This suits my day and ensures I get to exercise daily.
– I can start work at 7.30 am which means I can utilise the first 90 minutes of my working day with no interruptions.
I read the article below and it provides a good insight into the advantages of rising early. I appreciate that not everyone has the flexibility to get out of the house at 5.30 am particularly if you have a young family. However if there you are one half of a couple then maybe you could rotate days? Look for reasons why as opposed to reasons why not.
