The questions and comments I get from most young guys are around becoming big and strong. “How do I get big and strong” or “I want to be big and strong.”
This all comes back to understanding what powerbuilding is about. Powerbuilding is a hybrid of powerlifting and bodybuilding. It is certainly not a new term although it does seem to be undergoing some sort of renaissance.
I love the concept because it is the basis for becoming big and strong. And based on my experiences, this is exactly what guys (and some girls) want to do.
My version of powerbuilding is about becoming as strong as possible using the powerlifts (or derivatives of these) and then undertaking intense bodybuilding training to build the physique and at the same time work on any weak points to enable us to become even stronger.
