Deadlift form

Analysing deadlift technique over the past couple of days.

The key is to keep things simple. Such as;
– Use your legs at the start of the movement to get the bar moving
– Speed off the floor
– Keep the bar in contact with your legs throughout
– Drive your hips through hard once the bar clears your knees.

I found this old footage of one of my favourite lifters. Derek has a great technique but it is very simple. He does all of the above very well of course.

I like the way he has such a relaxed set up at the bottom. He tightens up just before he drives with his legs from the floor.

Pomana is super strong of course but the same principles apply if you are looking to improve your technique.
